• Increases the gloss and the drying time of the paint film
• Increases the risk of the paint film wrinkling
• Shows less yellowing in dark conditions than Purified linseed oil; the yellowing largely disappears in daylight
• Can be thinned with white spirit or turpentine

• Shows strong yellowing in dark conditions, which largely disappears in daylight
• Not to be used as medium in lower layers
• Can be thinned with white spirit or turpentine
• Is darker in colour than the other linseed oils

Composition: Linseed stand oil

• Greatly increases the gloss and the drying time
• Slightly yellowing (between poppy seed and linseed oil)
• Can be thinned with white spirit or turpentine
• Traditional glazing medium
• Not to be used in lower coats when mixed with paint
